Beer
Beer is a stunning, fishing village located on the east Devon coastline. It is a steep pebble beach in a small sheltered bay. Fisherman can be seen landing their daily catch and fish fresh from the boats can be bought on the beach, perfect for a fish supper. The beach is perfect for boating and bathing. There are boats available for hire, but there are no lifeguard facilities.
There are lots of beach cafes located on the beach. What better place to have lunch than overlooking the beautiful Devon coastline. There are also pubs, cafes, shops and toilets located in the village of Beer. The Jubilee Gardens were created by the people of Beer in honor of Queen Victoria. They are set high on the cliffs and provide some breathtaking view across the beach and sea.
Parking : There is limited parking on the street but there is large car park in the centre of the village and another on the cliff top, but there is a steep walk down to the village.
Dogs : Between 1st May to 30th September dogs are not permitted on the western side of the beach.
Walks : There are lovely coastal walks starting at Beer that will take you across the cliff tops. A particularly popular walk is from Beer to Branscombe.
