Sidmouth
Pebble and sandy beaches with wide esplanade. Amenities within easy reach. Parking available on street or in pay and display car parks. The beach is formed by a large expanse of pebbles with some sand. At its western end the beach has some lovely rock pools and at the eastern, cliffs line the beach. An esplanade runs along its entire length.
Dogs are not permitted on the main beach from 1 May to 30 September.

Lifeguard: There is no lifeguard facilities at this beach.
Emergency Facilities: An inshore rescue service is located along the promenade. It is dangerous to swim out to the offshore breakwaters due to strong rip currents.
Cleaning: Cleaned manually on a daily basis during the summer, monthly in the winter. Dog bins are provided. Dogs are welcome all year on a small area at the east end of the beach and on the main beach from October to the end of April.
Facilities: There are toilets nearby including facilities for disabled people. Cafes, restaurants, pubs and shops are located near to the beach. A slipway provides boat access.
Activities : Swimming, sailing, fishing, jet skiing, windsurfing and surfing. Zoning enforced for motorised craft and jet skis.
